Maybe where you live, but not where I live. ALL of the elementary schools have recess here, and some days it is twice and there is nothing on their report cards about weight.
I agree with you that where it is being done they are hypocrites.
Gabz, I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure recess is mandated by the state board of education in Virginia. It’s a good thing too as these little guys need a break to run and play outside during the day. What’s bad is inside recess! Woah - rainy day and 20 cooped up kiddos is a pretty ugly scenario!
