Perhaps. But those I know who do not hold to it are still staunch supporters of Israel. So I wouldn’t use it as a litmus test.

Dispensationalism is a Bible-literalist position, to this extent: “If the literal sense makes sense, seek no other sense, lest you get nonsense.”

Dispensationalist, therefore take land promises made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to be literal. Looking at those territorial promises themselves, it is seen that they have not yet been fully granted. They will be granted at some point in the future. Dispensationalists believe in a future restoration of Israel as the principle nation on earth during a literal reign of David’s greater Son, Davids Antitype, Jesus Christ (Also called the son of Abraham in Matthew 1:1; other).

Dispensationalists see no need to spiritualize the word land, when seen in the Scriptures as promised to Israel.
