I think she’s talking about “boys being boys” and not being uniformly dosed with Ritalin by the teacher’s unions. I’ve read other editorials by her, and she can be amazingly libertarian or even conservative on some issues.

If I'm not mistaken, she's chastening the educational system for having taken all the imagination and physical exercise out of school. And replacing it with a deadening, pointless boredom -- reinforced with Ritalin.

If that's the case, I'd have to agree.
