Sounds good. Maybe we can get some stealth submarines ourselves. As they say - beg, borrow, or steal...

Here's a picture of 5 of our newest Stealth Subs

The Brits say they have the stealthiest in the world. But I wouldn’t know if it’s true.

>>> submarine which from the Channel is able to detect the QE2 cruise liner leaving New York harbour was unveiled yesterday.
BS. Way too much background noise, interference, loss, etc to do that. Even if it could, sound would be hours in transit, multiple paths, convergence zones, etc. etc. .

God help them if that thing runs like a Land Rover. It will be in drydock more than out patrolling the oceans.

A new £1.2 billion Royal Navy submarine which from the Channel is able to detect the QE2 cruise liner leaving New York harbour was unveiled yesterday.
What a shame the 'Astute' couldn't have been launched a few months ago, they would have been able to watch those sailors from the Cornwallis being taken prisoner by the Iranians!
As brilliant and innovative a vessel as the Astute may be, without the national will to use it when confronted by enemies, bandits and terrorists, it may as well be a lone buoy floating in the harbour.

Aren’t the Ohio Class more than adequate for what we need? Each one has enough firepower to turn the entire middle easst into glass.
