They gotta drag in a well-hated figure and tie him to the target du jour. So now Rush is a *friend* of Cheney! And Cheney, as we all know, was head of a big company and works for that evil Bush. You can’t get much worse than this!

Only knuckle-draggers in middle US (people who like guns and might even believe in God), listen to Rush. In fact, nobody at the Guardian knows any decent person who would listen to such a hate-monger and anyone who does must be a hate-monger too.
