Question for the thread...how do we start a petition to get Rush to hold a GOP candidates debate on his radio show...Let him pick a date..he's got three hours..he can hold commercials for one day..except for breaks at the top and bottom of the hour..he'll ask the questions..allow sufficient time for replies and rebuttals...They'd all have to come on..It woudl be live in the studio, pod cast, on his web-site..and hopefully broadcast by C-span as well..

I'm sick of these stupid MSM debates..with inane questions and 30 second sound bite responses...It's time we, the voters, take back the debate forum..

And oh yeah..an added bonus..Rush would of course offer the same opportunity to the Dem candidates..

I'd welcome your input on the concept..any suggested revisions..and then..how do we advance the idea?

I love the idea. And if Limbaugh's averse, maybe we could find someone else. Even a local access TV station. But why have any moderators at all? Just take whoever's willing to show, lock 'em all in a room with a camera and some food and drink for two hours. Then let them have at each other. We don't need no stinkin' moderator. I'd sure tune in :)

I agree with you on those so-called debates, BTW. They're a waste.

A three hour GOP debate hosted by Rush?

Sounds interesting.

I’d start with those FReepers who have Rush 24/7 and have better access to getting to the EIB coordinators.

Lee may have an opinion on that.

We don’t. Rush (in his words and in reality) is “a broadcast professional”. His commentary shtick is what it is and he makes no apologies and darn few exceptions outside of an occasional charity pitch or call-in from a sitting President, VP or former Speaker of the House. Herding cats in a debate format is not his responsibility or something he would embrace and holding the commercials for even one day is something he’d laugh off as whacked.

I agree with you about the MSM debates - but I know Rush and he just won’t go there.
