I would say that race has something to do with this because if OJ was white, he would not have been acquitted and he’d be sitting in prison right now in which case this incident would never have happened in the first place.

Not necessarily. Remember that Robert Blake was acquitted, too. As someone pointed out at the time, the only real color that was the issue was the color green. Money and celebrity. Though the collective IQ of the OJ jury was probably less than our respective shoe sizes, no doubt most of the members were thinking to themselves, “That’s OJ, man ! I don’t want to send the Juice to prison !”
