The U.S. and Great Britain looked like old friends Monday. The queen of England is in Washington, D.C. A state dinner is set to take place but one person will be missing. Nevada senator Harry Reid decided to not accept his invitation, but many others will be there.
It was a day of high pomp and pageantry and the weather sparkled. The kind of day one would expect to welcome a queen. On the south lawn of the White House, 7,000 invited guests wore their best hats and best smiles for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
"It is a moment to take stock of our present friendship, rights taking pleasure from its strengths while never taking these for granted," said Queen Elizabeth II.

Michael Savage should’ve realized that Schmuck Schumer and Hairless Reid did NOT have the right views on port management. They supported the relinquishment of our ports to a foreign power under Clinton.
It should never have happened in the first place. Splitting hairs over the UAE, UK, France, and Venezuela is pointless. Any nation can turn in the future. Protect our resources and security by having stateside control.
The picture reminds me that it’s interesting that Pelosi can follow the protocol with the wearing of the scarf when she meets with enemy heads of state, but can’t follow protocol with the handshake with the head of state of one of our allies.
His speech writers couldn’t come up with anything even close to Dubya’s “1776” line.
He was probably executing another land deal in NV while attention was being diverted elsewhere in Washington. No what I mean?
This makes me wonder about Reid’s wife. Can you imagine any man who goes home and tells his wife that he has declined an invitation to have dinner with the Queen? Does she have any sense? Do they speak?
