can we dare hope that the republicans on these committees will bring in the environmentalist and greenies and bring the facts that really impact the shortage or cost; the EPA regs, zoning laws, impact statement, not in my backyard, refusal to explore or drill because it spoils the view, requirement numerous different types of mixes for different cities, counties, and states. can we dare hope. You hit the nail on the head. All of these things cumulatively affect the price of gas.

And these enviro. activists are against everything. Everything except solar energy. Even wind energy is problematical to some because it ruins the view and some problems with birds running into the windmills.
