Hubbys way -
You need one heavy stainless steel pot - about a 2 quart size
peanut oil
Orville Redenbachers white corn
a round screen pan cover, like the one you use to keep greas from splattering
Heat about 1/3 cup of oil in the pan, when hot add one kernel, when it pops add about 3/4 cup corn. Put screen cover over and shake pot while it pops. Have bag ready. Dump overflow popped corn into the bag, until it is all popped. For butter melt about 1/2 stick in a separate pan. Salt corn first to taste. Then have someone slowly drizzle the butter from the pan into the bag as you are heartily shaking it in a fashion so the popped corn tumbles like a giant corn ball in the bag. It can be done. Enjoy, and don't put the greasy bag on the carpet. Grrr!!!
