At first I thought it was to be an actual episode: a case that he just couldn't solve.

I've always wondered why they couldn't make one episode that Columbo couldn't solve.

One that we the viewer could figure out, but he couldn't fit all the pieces together. If only just to be different.

Columbo knows who did it within thirty seconds of arriving at the scene of the crime. The next one hour and fifty eight minutes are watching him hoist the perpetrator on his own petard and final ninety seconds are Columbo gloatingly skewering his prey.

So make the movie a full feature film and see if it will sell on the Big Screen. Do it in the new 3d process as well. I’ll bet it will sell!

I’ll go see it! I loved the Columbo series and movies....(”oh just one more question....)

Trying to deprive us closure? What are you some kind of anarchist?
