I discovered hedge's problem. She doesn't like trade agreements with poor countries, because she thinks trade causes us to lose wealth. She thinks we should only have trade agreements with rich countries.

I'm guessing the argument that the U.S. cannot compete with the EU's low-wage, overworked, slave-labor won't have legs here. I'm off to read the article.
