George W. Bush poses a brain-busting Rubik's Cube to the liberals of the land, and it's only right to try to soothe their upset. Why does W talk that way? Why does he say "Noo-kyoo-lrrr" when every good liberal knows it's "Noo-kle-uhr"? Why does he openly practice monogamy, and even love his wife? Why did he name his dog Spot?
What you see is what you get with George W. Bush. He has that in common with Ronald Reagan, though W is no Reagan. He is nobody but W. This, for a conservative, is a Good Thing. It's why I voted for the man, and don't regret it for a second.

The best article I have read in a long time. I am very proud GW is my POTUS. We are lucky to have him during these dangerous times. I second your post word for word!
thanks and ditto
Nah.
We would be much better off if Thompson had run in 2000 and the Republican party had beaten GW with a stick.
Only when in the most politically masochistic mood; do I even contemplate the fortunes of America and all those so contained here; had either Algore. . .or a 'Johnkerry' won the Presidency.
Have no doubt that if the malecontents 'stuffed it'. . .supported our President in this time of war; the outcome thus far in Iraq; might have been quite different. Supporting; aiding and abetting our terrorists enemies; while making an enemy of our President has had it's own sad - and many irretrievable - consequences.
That said; I pray President Bush prevails; and our Military as well. . .despite the worst of them.
The President needs to stop bending over backwards for only a secondary infection of Islamism, which grips both Afghanistan and Iraq.
When America conquers a nation, it should become a nation of freedom, not a nation where Christians are persecuted and killed as policy.

Great article.
How he takes the beating every day from the msm is beyond me.
But so did Lincoln.
I LOVE *W*!
“The President needs to stop bending over backwards for only a secondary infection of Islamism, which grips both Afghanistan and Iraq.

...totally agreed! Also, I wonder how long some of these “love affairs” with our POTUS will last after amnesty for illegals. We may never have another conservative in the White House again. We actually don’t now.
God bless the President of United States George Walker Bush!!
Doesn't change what I believe though.
Here is my take on George Bush published sometime ago, I think before the 04 election, which is in accord with the author's view, although not so generous:
The problem with George Bush is that he is not primarily a conservative, he is primarily a Christian, and he does not have a calculus that is congruent with yours or mine, even though both of us might be Christians.
George Bush sees partisan politics as petty and ultimately meaningless. We see partisanship as the indispensable stuff of freedom. At election time the Bushes will hold their nose and dip into partisanship. But it is not in their essential nature to wage war for tactical political advantage.
George Bush wants what Bill Clinton wanted: To fashion a legacy. He does not want to be remembered as the man who cut a few percentage points from an appropriation bill but as the man who reshaped Social Security. I've come to the conclusion that the Bushes see politics as smarmy, fetid. It must be indulged in if one is to practice statesmanship but it is statesmanship alone that that is worthy as a calling.
They are honest, they are loyal, they are patrician. There would've been admired and respected if had lived among the founding fathers. But it is Laura Bush and Momma Bush who really and truly speak for the family and who tell us what they are thinking and who they are. There's not a Bush woman who does not believe in abortion. They believe in family, they live in loyalty, they believe in the tribe, but they do not believe in partisan politics.
I believe it is time for us to decide no longer to be used by the Bush family as useful idiots and instead to begin to use the Bushes as our useful idiots . I say this with the utmost admiration and respect for everything the Bushes stand for. Who would not be proud beyond description to have a father or an uncle who was among the first and youngest of naval aviators to fight in the Pacific and to be twice shot down. Not a stain or blemish of corruption or personal peccadillo has touched the family(except for the brother whom I believe was cleared of bank charges). They are the living embodiment of all that is good and noble in the American tradition.
But they are not conservative.
Thanks for sharing. Being a Jeb Stuart fan myself, I will disagree most strongly with your post. I have never felt like a useful idiot being used by the Bush family. I worked for W’s election, voted for him, and stand by him because I like him, admire him, and am glad he is the President.
God bless America and President George W. Bush!
Pray for President Bush and our troops.

“This, for a conservative, is a Good Thing.”
Please don’t call W a conservative!
He is a big spending, big government (free drugs anyone) RINO, who only does a few conservative things once in while.
Well now you have your opinion, we all have ours. Don’t tell a lot of the rest of us what we are supposed to think! Sometimes it depends on what a person is conservative about. If he is not conservative, what is he? If he is supposed to be a liberal, he sure makes a curious one! Maybe your idea of a conservative is different from what I think is a conservative, eh?
He is the George the Lionheart I of the United States of America.
Who cares? Especially if the Arabs are killing us!
