Will he? Or won't he?
He won't say for sure. But six months after he was thumped in a bid for governor, Dick DeVos sounds like he wants a second chance.
Last week, in a speech in Ludington, DeVos told a gathering of Republicans he is ``open'' to running again. `If I'm the right man at the right time and Michigan calls, I can't help but answer.''
There are other signs.
His ``Dick DeVos for Governor'' Web site is still up, inviting visitors to subscribe to an e-mail list.
And the former Amway president is delivering what sounds like a political speech at Lincoln Day dinners, with lines such as this from the Ludington speech: ``I still think government is too big, too slow, too wasteful. We have to go to work to make it right.''
Even with the election more than three years distant, Lansing political analyst Bill Ballenger is convinced DeVos will try again.
``I think ... his plan is, `I am going to run.'''
DeVos spokesman John Truscott said DeVos has made no decision about the 2010 race.

How MI reelected Gramhole over this man boggles the mind. MI is now the new NJ. Not likely to go GOP (at the Prez level) ever again...
Detroit is the main problem.
Dick lost people on the right because he was against killing affirmative action....which passed.
I skipped the Gov. vote because of it.
Yeah I didn’t agree with him out that either, but I had to vote for him, I just couldn’t stand Jenny. This state is just getting worse.
Amroid can go jump in a lake. That whole family is a bunch of thieves who spawned a whole army of little Amway thieves.
We watched the first debate and the guy was positively Gore-ish. I was so disgusted, voted for him anyhow. IMO, he wasn’t good enough on TV in front of Jenny, which hurt him big time, and being against the affirmative action bill was a real head scratcher too. I hope we can find someone better next time around!
Still, I would've walked over hot lava to vote for him had I lived in Michigan.
