Not something you want to have happen within a few dozen light years.

.....does suggest that a similar and relatively nearby star one 44 quadrillion miles away might blow in similar fashion any day now or 50,000 years from now...
Note to self: Never ask these guys what time it is.

Is this the explosion that blew away the definition of a "standard candle"?
Essential, two stars collided to exceed the expected maximum mass of a supernova?
To: stainlessbanner
Whew, no problemo. This happened 240 million years ago and we're still here.
And this time -- definitely NOT Bush's fault.

It blowed up real good!

Any spaceship-looking rocks speeding to earth?

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid issued a joint statement and called for funding to be pulled from NASA; since us looking caused the explosion. Further “We have to ask ourselves if we are doing more harm than good. Without our interference would the stars just get along”.

Wonder how many Carbon footprints that will cost us.
To: Condor51
So naive.
Bush has a time machine and starship.
Blowing up stars is a hobby of his.
It has to be, because it makes it all make sense!
To: jbwbubba
According to Schroedinger, the star simultaneously exploded and didn’t explode, until we looked...then it exploded.
