I would like to ask for everyones thoughts and prayers to be with the Greensburg people at this time. Thanks!! Have any Freepers organized relief? material/money/shelter/etc.
I'm about 1400 miles away but would be willing to drive out to help or contribute to a fund.

Thanks!! I don’t think that things have really progressed that far. They are just letting the families back in this morning to see if there is anything to salvage. I saw that the Red Cross has set up a fund and people in our town are putting together food and other things for the person from our town that lived there. Someone has volunteered a fully furnished house for her and her children to use free of charge until they get back on their feet. There are 3 shelters that have been set up in a neighboring town. I know that at least the Dillons grocery store are taking up a collection at the register when you check out. Isn’t it amazing how people do pull together when it’s needed? I believe that there is something on the Red Cross home page...www.redcross.org
