I am extemely jealous that I did not think of that name first, for my funny names list.
LOL! You're not too far off. I have seen the Boerne Benedictines, and they were greatly influenced by the hip 60's. I thought the only thing they still did was run a day care.
I'm sure it'd make them happier greeters, though. LOL!
So how are they “labeled a security threat”? What does that mean, anyway? I’d label them a handful of irrelevant nuts.
From the Boerne Nuns website:
. . And so Omega stands as a school for God’s service. As Sr. Joan Chittister, OSB, reminds us,the spiritual life takes discipline.
When I see nuns quoting Joan Chittister, I throw Holy Water on myself, and run like heck to get away from them. Talk about the dark side.
Sister Rosetta Stone is from an old Cheech and Chong routine. I understand it sounds even funnier if you’re stoned, but I wouldn’t know since I never used illicit substances.
As a Catholic, I heartily agree!
No, but have you ever gotten thrown over the knee of a nun with your head deep in the pitch-black folds of a habit and spanked? Happened to me. First grade. Sr. Mary Evangeline. Nearly scarred me for life! LOLOL!!
No denomination is without its freakshow fringe, is it?
Think of terrorists in Iraq dressed in American uniforms. They may look like Americans, but are not.
Similarly, we have been in close communion with our Bendictine order friends in France for many years, real Benedictines as down through the centuries, a traditional order, and they are the diametric opposite of these pretenders. Nun of them could possibly imagine such folly.
