I didn’t read the linked article but I do know that there were some very, very unfriendly Iraqis who set up shop in Oklahoma City after the first Gulf War. I heard rumors that they were former Republican Guard members, how and why they landed in the US I still don’t understand. They have since disappeared from the place I used to see them, i.e., a certain convenience store, don’t know where they went. After they took over the store I quit going there because they truly had hate in their eyes, maybe because I was a woman alone buying gas, I don’t know, I only know they sure didn’t like me so I did them the favor of not being their customer. Very strange people.
