“Have you tried the national “Do Not Call” list? I used to get a lot of telemarketing calls, but after I got on that list I don’t get any at all. It’s a huge fine if a telemarketer calls someone who is on that list.”

The law is ignored and there are loopholes.
Something I have done is to answer a few. I ask why they do comply with the do not call list?
That seems to reduce the number of calls.
The automated calls should be outlawed, it is criminal that a company is allowed to have a computer dial peoples homes.

Agreed on all counts, but for me the bottom line is that in my case at least, it has worked remarkably well. I almost never get unwanted calls.

Have you tried the national “Do Not Call” list?

We did that and it has reduced the number of call by 90% or so. It does help.

Any TM that call someone on this list is pretty dumb, since the person they talk to is not likely to be in a very receptive mood.
