Any ballistics expert will very that to be the norm for a frontal shot. Not true. You can replicate that with your own experiment. Simply use a highpowered rifle...
Correct, Solid. A "MythBusters" (of all things!) one-hour program addressed the question of whether the bullet could do all the damage that was done.
Utilizing the same type of rifle Oswald used, same bullet grain wt & load, structured gel bodies, precise angle bench rest(s), elevations, and distances, a 'reenactment was conducted.
The segment prep was impressive and meticulous.
The results amazed even the "MythBusters" guys. Nearly identical. Right down to the bullet frag paths!!
I'll send a note to Discovery, Smith, to get the episode number, which can be purchased.
I saw that episode, and the path thing with the first shot that hit Connelly (sp?). However, I can’t remember the part where they duplicated the brain tissue explosion / head movement. Maybe I just need to watch it again.
