- The mormon disdain of the cross is well known. In the recent "push" by the LDS church to mainstream the religion as Christian, I'm awaiting a revelation instructing all members that the cross is now favored. We will then see the cross adorn the plain steeple of ward chapels and a cross of silver attached to the roofs of temples, (gold being reserved for Moroni). Members could exchange their CTR rings for cross pendants.

There is no disdain for the cross. (Take up your cross and follow me) The LDS celebrate His life and Resurrection, He Lives! This is the central message to the Gospel, that He lives, that He talks to men, loves us as much today as he did in ancient days, and communes with us. For this reason, we don’t have crosses on our churches. To us that is putting His death above His resurrection. His life is central to us.

We don’t have Moroni statues on our Churches, only the temples. This is in reference to John’s revelations about “another angel flying in the midst of Heaven, having the everlasting gospel to be preached to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.” Cheers

There is no disdain for the cross.

I beg to differ.

We don’t have Moroni statues on our Churches, only the temples.

That is what I specifically said in my post.

If you want to see stares and whispers and finger-pointing, just dare to wear a cross to an LDS church meeting, or even a social event. You might as well have someone ringing a bell shouting, "leper, leper."

To us that is putting His death above His resurrection.

I'm quite sure that Christians don't share your belief.
