Christ as our mate? We as couples should have an intimate relationship with Him, (as should you and your spouse) but a polygamist relationship with Christ is over the top, even for you!
No, Mormonism is over the top in asserting human marriage continuing in Heaven where the saved ARE the bride of Christ ... thus it is Mormonism’s polygamous heresy which is in error. It is not surprising that you cannot allow your mind to get around that truth as it comes from the Bible.
Hey,
...if Christ has written your name in the Book of Life from eternity;
if you're pre-destined to be his dwelling mate (Rev. 21:2-3) for everlasting in a covenant relationship;
if He's courted you all this time with the Holy Spirit beckoning you His way;
and if you've been invited to the wedding feast (as the parable in Matthew/Luke, etc. mention)...
then I suggest you reconsider the idea that marriage w/your earthly mate lasts beyond "time" (I didn't say relationships end; just the marriage portion). [I think once you see Christ firsthand, you'll understand why it's going to be easy to be pre-occupied w/Him]
Just because Jesus has called His earthly people to be the "light of the world" doesn't mean we have to assume that when we get to heaven, we're going to be the amps & the streetlights lightin' up the place. ("And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof...And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light"--Rev. 21:23; 22:5)
In other words, He's the primary everything in heaven, whether it be light (Rev. 21:23; 22:5); healing (Rev. 22:2); the abolition of sin (Rev. 22:3); or even a temple--the Lamb's the temple, too (Rev. 21:22).
Over the top
And, yes, Scripture [not simply my lowly opinion] says the Lamb's got the Bridegroom base covered, too. (So that's from the top, not over it. :) )
