The tendency to want to rebuild the Temple replicating Solomon's Temple is a human trait to establish the temple of god on earth without the presence of God in it ... the fundamental meaning of heresy.

The LDS temples are not a replica of the Solomon temple, either in form of function. There are similarities (such as the basin supported by 12 oxen – representing the 12 tribes of Israel) but the law of Moses is fulfilled, and any such practices relating to it have no place in the House of the Lord.
