When I lived in Northern Virgina, my Jewish neighbor was and still is the most well armed individual I have ever met. Once when I attended his Labor Day party, he invited me and another neighbor to check out his arsenal. Half of his basement was dedicated to firearms and ammo. He has three rifle size gun safes and another safe that was just as large for his handguns. After opening one of the safes, he pulled out an assault rifle with scope and handed it to me. It was an M-14, the first and only one I have ever held in my hands. Time stood still for a moment as I held it standing there listening to him talk as he pulled two more AR-15’s, and many more rifles and shot guns. He is a very active member of the Issac Walton Conservation League, and an Army veteran of the early 60’s. An exact opposite of what this article portrays Jewish people of being.

If you want to own your very own near M-14, check out Springfield Armory and get on of their M-1A's. I shot expert with an M-14 in Officers' Basic at Fort Lee, VA in 1968 and bought an M-1A for myself in 1986. The only difference between the M-1A and the M-14 is that the M1-A can't be adapted to fire on full automatic, while the M-14 can, even though most M-14s that were issued to the troops were set up only to fire on semi-auto. Right now the M-14, primarily in semi-auto mode, is used by many of our snipers in Iraq.
