But not the Mideast. Reagan recognized and stated specifically that it was contrary to our national interests to be drawn into nation-building in that region. It is due to the totalitarian culture, a challenge as great as, say, rooting out Confucianism/Marxism from Chinese culture would be. That is why he pulled out after the attack on the Marines in Beirut.
Ron Paul is the Reagan candidate on the issue of internationalist/socialist/globalist nation-building in the Mideast. Or was Ronnie just an antiwar cut-and-run candidate too?
If left to people like you, American schoolchildren will end up pledging allegiance to the United Nations. FreeRepublic used to be the home of people who understood this instinctively.
Bush and McStain both supported Xlinton's nation-building exercise in Kosovo/Serbia, which led to the inevitable and predicted massacres of Orthodox Christians in the region by the local Wahabbist Muslims. The same kind of Wahabbist/Saudi-funded Muslims who crashed jets into WTC.
