Anyone who prostitutes herself (leaving the homosexual angle out of it) is selling her body for strange men to use, for money. Basically being a paid sex slave for a short while. It is the ultimate devaluing of sex and intimacy. It’s becoming personalized kleenex and a hand. It generates a feeling of deep shame and worthlessness and makes it very hard to form any lasting bond with a man later.
And if a prostitute is not conscious of this shame, it means her heart has become so calloused she just can’t feel the pain. A large number of them are drug addicts and alcoholics - they need to be to carry on.
