Gore's candidacy heats up By Trip Quillman
Special to The Times
In spite of the late great Molly Ivins' admonition that only fools predict presidential elections, I cannot resist: Al Gore will run for the presidency in 2008, and he will win.
As a psychotherapist who spends his days wondering what motivates people, I believe the case for a Gore candidacy is compelling. To have been victorious in the 2000 election (both The New York Times and The Washington Post concluded, ultimately, that Gore won the Florida vote) and yet to have lost that office would have been at first devastating, then infuriating and, finally, maddening.

I got to “the late great Molly Ivins” and pulled the plug. No need to read on...
Let’s hope algore runs on the Green ticket!
I used to think Gore was potentially very strong, but people are already having global warming fatigue. And the Mars warming is rapidly exposing his lies.
I think he’s played his hand too soon. If he had won the Oscar NEXT year, it would be right. As it is, if he’s not burned out by next summer, the voters sure will be.
With the super super Tuesday coming so early, we might actually have no candidate getting a firstballot majority of delegates.
Obama will be strongest in Illinois and the South, Gore on the west coast and competitive in the northeast, Edwards might play well in some of the rust belt states (Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania) and the Beast will do well in urban centers, the northeast, and wherever suburban bimbos from hell( BlackElk)congregate.
This should be the most interesting Dem race since ‘76 (which was much closer than it looks now).
A psychotherapist named “Trip” thinks Al will become the next POTUS. Anyone want to guess this man’s recreational drug of choice?
These moonbats are completely dillusional!

Personally I think this guy needs to go see a psychotherapist.
Trip Quillman?
I had a hard time getting past there too. I at least read what was excerpted (Gore won? News to me), but no way am I going to waste my precious time clicking the link and reading the rest of this lunatics writing.
I’ve decided after years of indoctrination by the Global Warming Guru that it’s time to live a Gore Neutral lifestyle. We are definitely in a Gore crisis. If we don’t return to pre-1992 Gore exposure levels within 5 years we’re doomed. I am working on a business plan to start a company that will sell Gore offsets. I’m thinking we’ll start by selling used SUV’s to illegal immigrants. Then we’ll buy that property across the road from John Edwards mansion and open an RV park for bikers.
Be sure to put a shooting range in that RV park for bikers!
I’d prefer to have him get a one-way ticket out of the country.
Yep, I'm sure glad that the NYT and WP decide our elections for us rather than the voters.
...and yet to have lost that office would have been at first devastating, then infuriating and, finally, maddening.
Yep, that's who I want in the Oval Office: a demented, gasbag loser who can't discern fact from fiction. I wish everyone saw Glen Beck's special last night on global warming. If they had, perhaps his bogus awards for that POS would be revoked.
...global warming a problem that the Pentagon reported three years ago was far more serious than terrorism.
Really? Hmmm...let's see. The average temperature has risen seven-tenths of ONE DEGREE in the last 100 years. I wish this idiot would show me how that temperature change killed more than 3000 people in one day like we witnessed on 9/11.
The White House has been won before by men with far less foresight.
At last! He finally got something right...no doubt he's referring to Bill Clinton.
I don't know who this idiot is, but I sure as Hell wouldn't trust him with my mental health let alone take his position on who is best qualified to run this country. His writing was an unnecessary denuding of the nation's forests.
This moonbat reveals the true reason they oppose the war....the money spent on the war could be spent buying votes, instead of prosectuing a war to save the nation from Islamic nutjobs
A special kind of insanity grips the liberals on the west coast that I can’t define. It freezes the brain sockets that allow discernment and logic to flow through in order to come to reasoned conclusions and it creates a visionary apoplexy of fairies dancing around the earth working on a kind of harmonic convergence that will result in humans living in caves.
Oh, I know - an LSD overdose.
An Algore candidacy would be a gift to the GOP.
If algore runs on the Green ticket he takes 1/2 the defeatocrat vote with him. Hitlery couldn't even win Massachussetts then. Heck, the Republicans could run a dead man and win with the three-way split. The beauty of all this is that algore is so stupid and vain he thinks he could win the presidency on the Green ticket!
