Now that it’s a precedent, I wonder how long before another one is issued, and can’t be successfully appealed because it’s now established law. I also wonder how they can prosecute abusive parents who starve their children to death. It’s already been established that it’s perfectly legal.

I am not to sure if it is that legal yet. The pro-bono attorney's for the Schindlers always seemed to drop the ball at precisely the time they were supposed to drop it. I found some more examples of that I will post in the near future.
