You can see where the son got his mettle. Semper Fi.
My son called and said portions of Bancroft Hall (dorm) were being evacuated. Anyone hear anything?
God Bless First Lt. Marine Travis Manion.
Bomb threat, I’m barricaded in Nimitz right now.
First through fourth wings are being evacuated because the suspected bomb is in T-Court.
Please clarify to we whom know nothing.
There is a bomb threat at the Naval Academy right now...they have evacuated 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th wings of Bancroft Hall right now because the suspected bomb is in Tecumseh Court (where the Brigade forms up for noon meal formation). I was responding to the post by the man/woman who said that he/she heard they are evacuating Bancroft Hall right now.
Sometimes I wonder, if we as Americans, are deserving of the sacrifices of such individuals.
That’s an open yard. Hope some Army guy is not behind this.
Of course the obligatory request to keep us updated.
2009! Oh, I feel so old.
All clear came through at 1530...my first suspicion was that it was one of the plebes from 15th company pulling a 15 days till Herndon prank (they lit Herndon on fire this morning and sent an e-mail out to the brigade).
"Bring them out 'the hall of ... "
OK ... bad pun ... carry on.
Sounds like an incredible guy. Those recon Marines are tough...he will be truly missed.
Life is so fragile even for strong men. Prayers up for this brave Marine and his family.
“The father was asked if he had any regrets about his son going to Iraq”.(From the article)
What a stupid thoughtless question to ask him at a time like this. A biased dumbass reporter. Sheesh!
