I am sad that this excellent piece sums up the nightly news all too well.

Do we really have an informed electorate anymore or is America composed of sheep?

The recent polls on how Americans felt about the economy really scared me. The economy has been incredibly strong according to most indicators yet the public is negative about it.

Most people polled said they felt better about their own situation and worse about the national condition.

How many votes do the nattering nabobs of negativity and freak news sway? That is a poll we will never see.

Even the hard news shows are slowly switching to freak television.

Thank God for the internet!
