"As it is, the 400 IU dosage included in most multivitamins is too low to be an effective cancer fighter."

So how much "would" be effective?? I'm afraid the number "150 nanomoles per liter" doesn't really convey the needed info.

My doc prescribed a 50,000i.u. gel capsule, twice a week for me, when my bloodwork showed that my calcium and vitamin D were in the toilet last fall. (I have other health issues, thyroid CA and Lupus). My bone pain is significantly reduced since I started taking the high-dose D in December, probably because all the calcium I am taking is able to be utilized by my body.

The prescription is relatively inexpensive, less than $20 for three months.

My dermatologist said you get enough vitamins from the sun by walking around the block on a sunny day (best later in the day, after 4 or even 6 or so, depending on its intensity).

You don’t need to bathe in the sun to get the vitamins.
