Lesson I got from “300” : Watch out, Ahmedinejad. You see what happens when Persians try to enslave the West.

I loved 300 almost -- ALMOST -- as much as I loved the bleating it provoked from enemy quarters -- mullahs and media.

“300” was an excellent movie...here at USNA, the Battle of Thermopylae was already a cult phenomenon before the movie came out as a result of Stephen Pressfield’s “Gates of Fire,” so you can imagine the reaction the movie got!

I keep waiting for our side to exploit the we Persian (Aryans) are superior to you Arab (Semites). It is a button just sitting there waiting to be pushed. So far the Persians have managed to paper it over as a minor problem within Islam of some Shia vs some Sunni. It runs much wider and deeper.

I don’t know how deep that cut can run though...with Iran covertly funding/training Hezbollah, they seem to have endeared themselves slightly within some of the Arab world. I haven’t done much reading along the Aryan/Semitic line though.

Guess I'll have to read it now.

Frank Miller's comments the other day have also got to make some folks feel all warm and fuzzy. (Myself included.)

Learning from liberals. It must be nice to re-write history to meet your self-esteem issues. The Persians got their butts kicked every time they challenged the Greeks. I’m wondering how this movie ends. Let me guess... Persia beats Macedonia in this one and Alexander the Great is brought back to Babylon a slave.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Persians... Losers.
