“300” was an excellent movie...here at USNA, the Battle of Thermopylae was already a cult phenomenon before the movie came out as a result of Stephen Pressfield’s “Gates of Fire,” so you can imagine the reaction the movie got!

I don’t know how deep that cut can run though...with Iran covertly funding/training Hezbollah, they seem to have endeared themselves slightly within some of the Arab world. I haven’t done much reading along the Aryan/Semitic line though.

I had never heard of "Gates of Fire" until a lib(!) mentioned it to me at the pool the other day, in relation to 300. Guess I'll have to read it now.
