I think it comes down to how Fred frames his campaign. Fred is a very astute man, and has never been known to, purposely, alienate his enemies. He just grazed over the words "democrats and republicans together" tonight. I look for more of that.
Not to say or mean that he will capitulate, but I feel he is smart enough to know that by pointing out, and stressing, what we have in common is more important than what we disagree on. In order to take the WH, we do need some dem votes, I don't think he'll poke 'em in the eye, while pulling their poll card outta' their pockets.
He'll make his stand, and his points, where he must, but, at the same time, he'll endeavor to bring us together as a whole Nation. If it can be done, in this day and age, Fred can do it.
For the first time in months, maybe even a year or two, I feel hopeful and "up".
Thanks for the pep talk, FRed!

I feel like Fred has the power to put the shame on the majority of these politicians just by giving them 'the LOOK'!
A grown up (compared to these seventh graders in charge of Congress right now) who commands respect. I love Dubya, but he doesn't *demand* respect with just his presence.
Fred does.
