You forget about the mass of people that showed up for Dan's Bake Sale. That attracted national attention.

My you're an old codger, that was ages ago, what was that all about anyway?

A listener wanted to subscribe to the 'Limbaugh Letter' but the wife would not allow it. Limbaugh jokingly said that he should have a bake sale to raise money. The bake sale was in reference to an elementary school that had a bake sale to raise money to help ease the national debt.

Later during that show, a company that specialized in billboard advertising offered to place ads for the bake sale. The whole thing just took off and I don't remember how many went to Fort Collins, Colorado but I think it was hundreds of thousands.

All the network news covered the story, it was a big thing. They showed a clip of Limbaugh telling people to never trust the liberal media and yes...Dan did get his subscription.
