I wasn’t a Marine but with the letter of reprimand in his permanent personnel record I would think the chances of promotion are pretty slim. I also don’t believe you see a lot of old LT’s in the Marine Corps.
I think you’re right, jaz. The likeliest bet is that he’ll get some desk job until they can release him under the “up or out” policy.
