The racism I've felt growing up here has rarely been hateful and from the typical stereotyped southerner, but rather the condescending Yankee. It doesn't help that I've also picked up on the values of my home state of Virginia to them. I'll never forget this exchange
"How can you ever support those values as a Sikh? Didn't you feel bad after all those hateful stares after 9/11?"
"Yes ma'am (Calling them ma'am always seems to get their blood boiling, feminism maybe?) but the southerners who get to know me and my heritage appreciate it very much. You guys seem hell bent on bending over and taking more planes up the [wazoo]."
Besides how can you argue with a state that's flag is "Thus always to Tyrants" then shoes a hot chick with a dead tyrant at her feet?

Awesome, dude! BTW, I’ve heard, but would like to ask, do Sikhs carry the kirpan out of a “never again” type of challenge to Muslims?
