The wheels are coming off.
-Massive- Federal intervention of all Chinese food imports.
FDA finally recognizes widespread pet deaths and threat to human food supply. Massive misrepresentation of Chinese vegetable imprts to US authorities.
FDA confirmation of 1950 deaths of cats and 2200 deaths of dogs.
Animal and -human- food ingredient recall ping!
For the vegetable proteins and finished products that have been found to be contaminated, it is unknown who the actual manufacturers are, how many manufacturers there are, or where in China they may be located.
As I've posted here before - eat NOTHING that is a food product from China.
Science Diet pet food is 100% American-made and free of wheat gluten, they’re saying.
Massive human death toll coming soon.
Eat nothing from China.
BTTT!
Totally off-topic, but when I read “DETENTION WITHOUT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OF ALL VEGETABLE PROTEIN PRODUCTS “, it reminded me of the scene from the movie “Days of Thunder”, where Fred Thompson is explaining what he will do to stop Cole and Roddy from ruining races, and explains a “Japanese inspection”, where they hold lettuce without actually physically looking at it for a week or so, at which time it is rotten and doesn’t need to be inspected at all.
I just mention that because Fred Thompson was great in that scene. Very Presidential.
The reason this wheat suppliment from China is used in American products is “CHEAPER COST”= MORE PROFIT for the companies involved.
I’m shocked. Just shocked. Really.
I just purchased Talapia frozen from China at Ingles Supermarket in North Carolina. It says it’s frozen by a carbon dioxide process (rather than a nitrogen process) which USA normally uses. I don’t know what that means to us, the consumers.
I read here that they have been feeding pigs with a melanmine (sp) ingrediant in North Carolina, a big pig raising state. When I asked the 18 year old worker, he knew nothing about it, although he said 2 other shoppers had asked him about it that day. According to articles here, they don’t know if it’s damaging to humans although they estimate that 4000 pets have lost their lives because of this additive. (It substitutes for protein, which they can advertise and boost their protein content.) We lived in Michigan during the 70’s-80’s when fire retardent was added to cow meal. When the cows wouldn’t eat it, molasses was added to make it attractive to cows. For years, the supermarkets had to advertise that their beef cows came from Texas or some other state and it caused some deaths and physical harm to farm families raising cattle who didn’t realize they were buying retardent-enhanced and then Molasses enhanced feed for their cattle.

Why isn’t all Chinese food banned? Hello!?!?!?
Baby steps against companies expensing the American People for Profit!! Bad part is this is a ‘staple’ ingredient and pretty hard to avoid. I make all my own bread—guess I will have to grind my own flour. Globalization is so good for the American people.
Thanks for posting this.
Top News:
The smoking gun of melamine spiking found.
Biggest news out of the FDA since 16 dead. This time FDA reports 4,150 pets reported dead. Will the mainstream media pick up on this?
Also, FDA begins blocking all untested Chinese vegetable protein. A move rare in its breadth, according to USA Today.
Melamine spiking widespread and going on for at least 15 years in China.
It also happened in the US.
38 chicken farms fed tainted pet food back in February.
"As of April 26, 2007, FDA had received over 17,000 consumer complaints relating to this outbreak, and those complaints included reports [!] of approximately 1950 deaths of cats and 2200 deaths of dogs"
Why do you say stuff
like that without a hot link?
Do you think Freepers
won't know the difference
between them getting "reports"
and "confirmations?"
Geez, Louise! Calm down!
Words have meanings! Include links

The contamination is widespread and the FDA has no clue as to where it will lead,
“Detention Without Physical Examination of all Vegetable Protein Products from China”...that makes it sound like they’re shipping a couple hundred tons of won ton noodles down to Gitmo to be held as enemy combatants.

Sounds like we’ve got the Chinese government’s attention now. And I suspect it won’t be long before we start hearing about human kidney failure cases that were caused by this problem. Unlike pets, humans eat a variety of foods, and are thus unlikely to get the large doses of the contaminant that are required for acute and quickly fatal kidney failure. On top of that, humans with kidney failure are quickly put on dialysis (which is only available for pets at a handful of teaching hospitals, and is generally prohibitively expensive) and so it’s unlikely that any human deaths would have occurred. However, it’s quite likely that a lot of permanent kidney damage could have occurred. Given our nation’s huge and fast-growing rate of human kidney failure (driven by obesity-caused diabetes), a modest increase caused by food contaminants could easily go unnoticed.
I am so mad I can’t see straight - I’m trying to get these products out of my house, specifically store-bought bread and pasta. But my elderly mother is upset with me because I’m “throwing out good food” and “forbidding us to eat any of this good food”.
GOOD FOOD MY ***.
I’m trying to bake bread here, and she’s got my young son all upset thinking home baked bread is second-rate because it’s “not good for slicing for sandwiches” - I guess she forgot that’s all we ate when I was a kid was HER home-baked bread...
ARRGHH!!! Anybody else running into family resistance on this?
I just emailed Orowheat for info on flour products used in their bread.
