Overdork! I love it.
Can’t say that!
Can’t say dat!
Thank you, great to be here.
"Can't sample that!"
Illegals are marching like a bunch of whiny babies in Chicago today.
Liberals can always be relied on to ignore real problems and spend all of their time and energy on pretend problems.
I believe the money, once designated, can be switched to where it is needed. Maybe someone knows for sure.
If GWB believes an appropriations bill will limit his or any other President’s ability to wage war, he will veto it regardless of the consequences.
You can count on that. GWB isn’t interested in saving face or doing what is PC, if so, he would never have invaded Iraq. It held only the potential of political problems for him from the start.
The last US combat troops left Vietnam in March 1973. The last combat death was in January 1973. Nixon used Vietnamization to remove our troops in a phased, orderly way from Vietnam. The Paris Peace Accords were supposed to prevent a takeover of the South by force and end the fighting. The South Vietnamese fought on for almost two years without us. Congress did cut off funding and placed a ban on any future US military involvement in SE Asia.
The North Vietnamese violated the Paris Peace Accords sending 20 divisions into the South in Feb 1975. By April, they were in Saigon. We did not respond to their violation of the peace treaty.
I would be a little kinder to Nixon who did more than just put a good face on defeat. I blame the Dem-controlled Congress for ensuring our defeat by cutting off funding and ruling out any military response to the North's violation of the agreement.
Heck, I’ve been given permission to use the N word. I’ve been told I’m an N, just like them!!
There should be no compromise. We won't compromise our men and women in uniform. This isn't the time to talk. It is the time to act. Our men and women in uniform are facing a new enemy, the enemy within. And where are the Republicans? Who do we see trotted out? Chuck Hagel.
IMHO, one of the clear weaknesses of the Bush admin, has been his, and its, willingness to compromise and to pursue this so-called "new tone".
A lot of good that "new tone" has done. The Dems demagogue. The WH does nothing to counteract it, and the Repub members of Congress are, collectively, a bunch of wimps.
And then, of course, we have the "principled" Repubs threatening to bolt the party, and folks like Dan Bartlett all but conceding the 2008 Pres race to the Dems.
I'm not sure that I have ever been this frustrated with my President, my party and some of its members.
Oh, I'm sure Miss Hillary is the soul of generosity--as long as it's other people's money she's spending. Do you remember how she and Bill had never owned a home until she bought the one in NY? They had always vacationed at the homes of rich liberal friends, thus avoiding any expenses.
