And hopefully a bottom line that will not be overlooked by readers in the UK.  They are long overdue of some relief from their crime and prison problems.....Sheriff Arpaio's solutions would be like a breath of fresh air for all concerned, if you'll pardon the pun   :-)

Very true. Also, I think a tough prison regime is, in the long run, better for the prisoners as well. I wonder how many graduates of Sherrif Arpaio’s jail never return to crime?
