CLINTON SICK OVER DR. GIULIANI'S RX

April 29, 2007 -- SAN DIEGO - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday blasted Republican presidential rival Rudy Giuliani's continuing criticism of the Democratic Party's health-care ambitions.

Republicans "are basically taking positions diametrically opposed to us," Clinton told a packed press conference following her speech at the California Democratic Party's convention.

"One of the candidates has called universal health care 'socialized medicine,' " she said, not mentioning Giuliani by name.

But it was clear to the crowd that her remarks were pointed at the ex-mayor's standard campaign statements that the private sector is best equipped to manage America's health care and that too much government involvement amounts to European-style socialized medicine.

Clinton's brief rip against Rudy was also aimed at Giuliani's criticism last week of Democratic leadership regarding the Iraq war.

"I . . . welcome . . . that . . . debate," Clinton told reporters, slowly enunciating each word.

"People have learned from the experience of the Bush administration and the Republican Congress what the differences are" between the Democratic and Republican parties, she said.

"We're tired of [Republicans] believing they can have a government of the few and by the few and for the few," she said.

Giuliani has set a trap and the STUPID WITCH has fallen into. Reminding people of Hillary Care will be a disaster for her. It was a big reason for the 94 blowout.

AU,

You are tight he has set a trap. I am not fond of the current field, Rudy included.

But I got to tell you. He is the only one it seems that has the power to get under her skin and give us the possibility of her having a "Howard Dean" moment and coming completely unglued.

The mischievous shadenfraude-al side of me would actually like to see that....

"I loved P.J. O’Rourke’s comment about Hillary, “She’s basically Hugo Chavez in pants suit.”

Appeal2,

Speaking of pant suits, what up with the one she has on?

My gosh, I am no fashion expert, but she is a candidate for TLC's "What Not to Wear".

My gosh, hasn't she ever heard of Talbot's?

The Demon-crats are desperate to insure Giuliani is their the Republi-Con opponent in the General Election.. They know his pro feticidal position will insure Christians Stay Home and that will mean they win the White house..

That is why he gets the press.. The Demon-Crats need him as their opponent to win.

So true.

I’m not a Rudy supporter by any means —especially in the primaries— but it’s wonderful to see him putting the likes of her-thighness on the defensive. Maybe, just maybe the other Republican candidates will be heartened to do the same.

I agree with you. I am just so sick and tired of WUSS GOP types that I do admire Rudy’s tough NY mentality big time. Rudy does not let himself get ROLLED and fold like a cheap suit!

She prefers: Government of the freeloaders and by the freeloaders and for the freeloaders.

Maybe that NYC attitude is a good thing.

My mom likes Rudy a lot, but she said she won’t vote for him because she hates his “current wife.” My mom is a trip.

You can BS your uneducated voters but you can't BS Republican voters! Nice to see that you take your voter base to be the brain dead sheep that they are!

Sort of government for the masses overseen by the few.

Castro, Chavez, Mugabe and the nut-job in North Korea come to mind. Oh, and France isn’t far behind.

I have two liberal friends who are married that I have known for over 20 years. They cannot discuss Iraq, tax cuts, or the economy beyond shallow catch phrases. It’s pathetic and I have had to bite my tongue from not outright calling them stupid. And mind you, this is when they are in my house telling me about some low poll number and that I am the only person they know who thinks the way I think! Arrrrrrrrrrrggggh!

I’ve found that telling people who have been raised in a democrat mindset, that these days, only welfare people vote for the democrat party. It plants a seed in their minds. If that doesn’t work send a copy of Zell Miller’s book to their door.

I think you are onto something there. From now on I am always going to put that in my friends' ears. "Only welfare people or people not wanting to work for a living vote Democrat!"

I'll just keep sticking that in their ears every chance I get. Liberals need things repeated over and over and over.

As a lady, I should not even know this word (I was, however, in the Army...): Look at the letters behind this mao-dressed bitch ("bitch" being a word which I have no problems with).
