Ron Paul was much more tenacious in impeaching Clinton. Thompson, to some extent, diluted Paul’s efforts.

Many of the ones in the GOP who were aggressive in trying to get Clinton out of office are gone. Glad to see they didn't run Ron Paul off too. What is a disgrace in the GOP though is senators like Ted Stevens still hold office and Republicans will still reelect him. That is a disgrace and voters are to blame.

Learn something new every day. Being from Tennessee, you would know more about Fred than I would. I never said I was voting for him. In fact, I’m waiting and gathering facts about all of them. I need input from people who actually have seen a candidate in action. Thank you for that information.

If you ever get a chance to see it watch the movie Marie. Fred Thompson plays his own part. He was defending the Tennessee Corrections Commissioner whom our governor in the 1980's was setting up. The governor had a cash for clemency scam going among other things. This scandal also cost Marie's boyfriend his life IIRC. Or look up Ray Blanton better known as Pardon Me Ray. This was organized crime that involved his cabinet as well. Marie blew the whistle on him. For what it's worth she's a Dem and so was the governor. If Fred could have stood up to what to amounted to the Dixie then why not John Glenn and the DEMs?

I’ll tell you the biggest problem I have with Rudy. He is a partner in a consulting firm that does business with Hugo Chavez. When asked about this, he said he didn’t know who all the clients were. Trust me, if my name is on something, you can bet I’m going to know who I do business with.

So would I especially in these days. You would think someone with political ambitions would be more careful also.

Ten is too many for a debate. It will be a sound-bite contest.

I'd rather see ten start out and have their say than to have the RNC or Media choose which one THEY WANT us to hear as is usually the case.

Agreed. I would like to hear more from (and about) the third party candidates and the candidates that declare at a later date, even Fred Thompson.
