Notice that Knopf is publishing this book a year-and-a-half before the 2008 election, giving Hillary and her wrecking crew plenty of time to pooh-pooh Bernstein's efforts, and also giving her some time to trot out her stock, "Oh, that's old news!", answer to every question about discrepancies in her public accounts of her life.

Nice work, Knopf...

She will take his best punch, which may not amount to much, and her spinners will continue to massage the willing media dupes.

The Queen may someday be quoted in history as saying, “So, let him eat Monica.”

BERNSTEIN HASN’T GOT ANY COJONES AT ALL UNLESS HE TELLS THE WORLD WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO VINCE FOSTER AND RON BROWN.

I have no need to read the Bernstein book. Having lived through eight years of the Bill and Hill presidency I know all I need to know about these two liars.

The book could revive the explosive charge, made earlier this year by David Geffen, a former Clinton donor and Hollywood mogul, that “the Clintons lie with such ease, it’s troubling”.

Isn't this the hallmark of the consummate politician???

He stops short of accusing the New York senator of blatantly lying about her past, but has unearthed examples of where she has played fast and loose with the facts about her “personal and political life”, according to Knopf.

Well well well and may I add I'm stunned to think he'd be critical of Hillary. Guess Bernstein will have as much success promoting his book on 60 Minutes/Larry King Live as did Bernie Goldberg.

I remember the book, Partners in Power. As I recall the noted author Roger Morris set out to expose all the lies being spread about the Clintons. He learned otherwise and quickly became the "unknown" author -- oh well, at least he avoided Fort Marcy Park.

Future headline? "Watergate journalist found dead in Fort March Park. 'Suicide.' Multiple gunshots to neck and head puzzle some."

I bet this book is very favorable towards Hillary. Do you think her best friend would give Bernstein access to something that would hurt Hillary. This is definitely Clintonian. Take something that might be somewhat unfavorable and then leak info about how bad it will be. Then when the real story comes out and its not that bad it just blows over. Remember how Clinton screamed and threw a temper tantrum while being interviewed under oath with Ken Starr. Then we saw the actual thing and it was a different story.

Coward. Calling her a liar would not be an accusaton but merely stating fact.

the legendary Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein

Legendary?

The guy was a beat writer hack, who was going to be fired from his job, when he got the break (in) of a lifetime.

“He stops short of accusing the New York senator of blatantly lying about her past...”

“...because he still plans on voting for her in both the primaries and the general election.”

I wouldn’t doubt for a moment that this is a soft-hitting expose performed in an attempt to defend Mrs. Bill Clinton and to pull the rug out from whatever hit machine the Republicans may have.

The common response to any allegations the Republicans come up with toward the election will be:

“Bernstein already dissected her and she’s pretty clean and has already cleared up everything that looked questionable. We don’t even need to discuss _____.”

Judging from the article, I fail to see how the book is going to be "a hard-hitting and intimate portrait of the 2008 presidential candidate, which will reveal a number of “discrepancies” in her official story." The article fails to disclose anything that is negative about Hillary except that she is a victim. And the papers of her "best friend" will no doubt reinforce that based on her dying words,[at least according to Hillary],“She pressed my hand tightly and whispered to me, ‘Don’t ever give up on yourself and what you believe in. Take care of Bill and Chelsea. They need you. And win this election for me’."

I think there will be plenty of sizzle and no steak. Hillary will once again be the victim, bloodied but unbowed.

She is a marxist slimeball.

Clinton said last week that she would appoint her husband ambassador to the world if elected to the White House. “I can’t think of a better cheer-leader for America than Bill Clinton, can you?” she said.

OH YES!!

Even Pee-Wee Herman would be better, more honest, less pompous and lacking in the trailer-park smell...

Just saying.
