When I visited Poznan in Poland recently, I went to a military cemetary where there are many Soviet soldiers buried alongside the Poles and even Germans. There were catholic grave candles on many of the Soviet graves and recently placed, too. I take it all must be some form of "Stockholm syndrome" to you. If any of the American dead were to remained buried in Iraq, I wonder how well and for how long their graves would be preserved and kept...

I just love when people get snippy. It does nothing except expose the author’s arrogance. Gotta love that “air of superiority” thing.

There have been a British military cemetaries in Iraq since World War I.
