In the O'Reilly interview, Schumer showed his hand when he revealed the strategy for this bill. Because it could become such a hot potato -- thanks to your efforts -- Senator Schumer is pushing to get this bill passed by Unanimous Consent in the Senate, which basically means that the bill would get passed WITHOUT A VOTE.

This is a perfect way to pass gun control without anyone getting blamed... or so they think. We need to tell every Senator that if this bill passes without a vote, then we hold ALL OF THEM responsible. (Be looking for a future GOA alert aimed at your Senators.)

You can modify GOA's talking points to make it look more original; the more original it looks, the better. Just don't copy it as is.

Ok, lemme float this idea out there for general consumption...

Lets say this all goes down...And “our” personal information is somehow collected by the government...For whatever nefarious purpose...

Obviously the vehicle for this collection is based upon a gun-control bill...

Logically you must realize the government already has your personal information already on you...Its been like that for years...

If the offensive nature about this bill is that it is being collected based upon provisions in a gun-control bill...That is certainly cause to be concerned...But what is it you think they’ll do with this information (that they already have to begin with)...

Is the threat based upon the correlation between your personal information, and that you may have guns??? Is that what this could be construed as???

I’m not surprised, and yet I do value the privacy of my fellow gunowners and their opinions on this...

Of course I see the smoke, but someone show me where the real fire is on this thing...

How can the Senate pass anything without a vote, as there is no chance whatsoever of “unanimous consent”?

I hope that everyone who voted for or gloated over the Democrat victory in 2006 will now consider the consequences of having the far left wing in control of both houses of Congress.

Schumer, an anti-American homegrown terrorist, is giving notice. Americans who value gun ownership rights guaranteed by our Constitution had better buy their weapons and ammo now. Time is coming when all gun sales will be criminalized and gun owners will be heavily regulated and hounded by
authorities”.

Does that idiot Carolyn McCarthy realize that a single citizen with a concealed weapon could have saved her husband’s life?

Take the notoriously anti-gun senator from New York -- Chuck Schumer. He has been very, very excited this week. Recent events have given him a platform, and the excuse, to push legislation that he had sponsored years ago -- legislation that never got through Congress.

"I've come to believe that he needs a certain level of violence in this country. He's willing to accept a certain level of killing to further his political agenda." Wayne LaPierre of the NRA was widely blasted when he made this comment during the Klintoon Administration, but Upchuck Schumer seems determined to prove that LaPierre was right on target.

“There are those in America today who have come to depend absolutely on government for their security. And when government fails they seek to rectify that failure in the form of granting government more power. So, as government has failed to control crime and violence with the means given it by the Constitution, they seek to give it more power at the expense of the Constitution. But in doing so, in their willingness to give up their arms in the name of safety, they are really giving up their protection from what has always been the chief source of despotism—government. Lord Acton said power corrupts. Surely then, if this is true, the more power we give the government the more corrupt it will become. And if we give it the power to confiscate our arms we also give up the ultimate means to combat that corrupt power. In doing so we can only assure that we will eventually be totally subject to it.” —Ronald Reagan

To stop unanimous consent all it takes is one senator to voice an objection, which is why this will never happen.

The part of the interview that jumped out was when Chuckie said “we need to get this done without debate” Talk about blatant!
