If I wanted fruit in my drink I will order a Margarita, I'd ask John Edwards to dip his pinkie in my glass.

Fruit flavored beer sounds ridiculous, like it’s made for fruits. And I rarely drink Budweiser anyway. OTOH, I once drank a bottle of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and it wasn’t bad. ‘Course, I’ve never actually *bought* a bottle of it. We used to pour Clamato juice into beer when I was a teenager. Which was a long time ago.
These days I favor Heinekins, Beck’s, St. Pauli or Grolsch. All mainstream beers, but you can get them in Publix, which counts for a lot.

I personally am against adding fruit to beer, but to each their own. None of this has anything to do with Anheuser-Busch, they don’t IMHO make beer.

We used to pour Clamato juice into beer when I was a teenager. Is this a mixture of clam juice and tomato juice?

I can’t drink American mass produced piss-water beer anymore... I can deal with micro-brewed ales of the non-fruitty variety...
better yet... my own homebrewed Bitchin’ Eye Snot or Old Scrote Bitter...

Thanks for the ping. Those flavors do sound a little on the feminine side though, must be going after the 'ladies' market.
There is one fruit beer that is pretty good though, it's a raspberry wheat at Big Buck Brewery in northern MI that is rather dry, full-bodied and definitely not sissy.
Kinda' funny though, it is in a great tourist town called Gaylord, sister city of Pontresina, Switzerland.

“Personally, I wouldn’t put fruit in my beer on a bet, but thats just me.”
Used raspberry extract in the Christmas beer one year - turned out allright.
The only other time is when I make my infamous rough-and-ready ginger beer - that uses raisins.

Pomegranate is the new “miracle fruit”. I like to drink it straight, it has an interesting taste and supposedly extends your life by one day for every day you drink it.
Sounds horrid in beer though. I will pass on that.

half beer and lemonadeThe Brits call that a "shandy". Ladies and young drinkers - teens - seemed to like them. Never tried it myself.

Well....in retrospect, there was nothing to lose there - there is little chance that they could make it worse!
Now this is more like it!

The Germans also have “Banana Weitzen,” Wheat Beer with Banana Liqueur added. I stuck with Pilsner (ein Pils, bitte).

I have had a couple of fruit beers at parties lately and they they sucked.
But you drank it, of course. It was free and it had alcohol.

Johnny Carson also had a gay beer sketch: Lowenboy. It ended with him staring lovingly into the eyes of Ed McMahon at a party....

You don’t “buy” beer. You only rent it.

Yes, it’s clam juice mixed with tomato juice. You can get it at most supermarkets, I’m sure. I saw someone drinking it recently. Makes good Bloody Mary’s too, though I rarely drink one of those anymore.
