Any officer who enforced such laws would abdicate any respect or standing he had and cease being a police officer and become a lapdog of the tyrants that had taken over the government. The leaders of the Nazi party at the end of the war claimed 'they were just following orders' and we rightly sent them to the gallows anyway.

Had a conversation with a few cops many years ago. Over a couple beers a friend asked if or when such a order went out to seize all firearms, would they do it?

To a man, they all said that they would. They would feel bad about it, but they would as it was their job.

My friend then said “Send only single guys when you come for mine.” and walked out. Many, many, cops in this nation do not like the idea of armed civilians.

It sounds as if this individual learned a thing or two from spending so much time in African “republics.” I believe the dance he describes is the “Mugabe Mambo,” and look how well it worked in Zimbabwe.
