It is funny but, not necessarily true!

"I guarantee you that by the time the dust has settled here these misfits will get a big cash settlement and the school in question will be ordered to "celebrate diversity" or be closed down. I *guarantee* it."

And what would happen if that Catholic school refused to shut itself down, and the parents continued to send their children to school there? Would they arrest the parish priest, the Catholic teachers, the children and their parents? I don't think so, this would send a shiver down the spineless backs of the Massachusetts politicians, and they'd fear a public uprising against their religious oppression. If ever there was a time to stand up against religious oppression, this is it.

Hey, we arent all that bad. The problem is that we have to work so hard to pay our taxes, we cannot take the time to protest about stuff. And Deval, while a socialist jerk, is kind of fun to watch. I cant imagine how he can walk with his foot in his mouth and his head up his butt!

Let’s hope that people wake up soon and stop the thousands of sexual assaults perpetrated annually by public school employees.

"Massachusetts sounds like the closest thing to hell in the U.S. Too bad we can’t kick them out of the union..."

Obviously it is not that simple.

Yeah it sucks being here, but pulling up stakes is not always a simple matter.

Thirty to forty per cent of us live here under the shadow of a mob.

They get the Press, we get Depressed. Oh well, sheite happens.

"It only took hundreds, if not thousands, of sexually abused children, decades of active enabling, widespread cover ups, and millions of dollars in settlements for the Catholic Church to realize that homosexuals within their ranks were ruining the church."

You think that you have been paying attention, but you really haven't been.

The numbers are completely exaggerated, and the media has been quite active in spinning this stuff big time.

I ain't Catholic (though I was raised that way) and I take great exception to the scum in the media who have made this garbage a front page news story.

They despise the Catholic Church because it opposes the Left agenda in almost every way.

It was all old News when the Boston Globe brought it all up again years after they had already reported on these matters.

All of a sudden, victims came crawling out of the woodwork daily, and in droves.

You have fallen into the trap that they designed for people who lack a freaking memory.

Likely you have no idea what I am talking about here but that is OK with me, because you had no idea what you were talking about in your ignorant post.

Don't like my fresh?

Report me.

Don't like my fresh?

Doesn't bother me in the least. Thoughtful debate is good.

Besides, I'm not the type to go whining to Mommy when someone doesn't agree with me. I suspect I've lost a few FR IDs for that very reason. I'd rather argue my point of view.

Brought up Catholic myself. Went to church every Sunday "as long as I was living under" my parent's roof.

Stopped practicing as soon as I moved out, Catholicism didn't click for me, but my comment wasn't really about religion or the Catholic Church.

I probably should have been more clear in my comment. If I had been, I think we'd find out we agree more than disagree.

I was directing my venom at the homosexuals, and was using the Catholic church as a example of the damage they have done, and will continue to do if they aren't put back in the sexual deviant class where they belong. This damage isn't limited to the Church, it's affecting our whole society.

(BTW I'm stuck in pre-1973 when the APA still classified homosexuals as sexual deviants, in the same section as pedophiles and all the other 'philes.)

The Catholic Church is by no means blameless, but the problem wasn't with the Church per se, it was because it was heavily and systematically infiltrated with homosexuals. This underground homosexual organization within the Church was responsible for the abuse, cover ups, enabling, and other damage.

The fact that the Church didn't catch it and stop it sooner is where their blame lays. I fully admit I'm really pissed about that.

I agree with you that the media "despise(s) the Catholic Church", but am not so sure that it's 100% "because it opposes the Left agenda in almost every way".

I lean more towards Ann Coulter's theory in Godless, it's because the Church isn't Godless. Maybe it's two sides of the same argument, I haven't finished Ann's book yet, it got too depressing and I had to put it aside for a while.

I own both Godless: The Church of Liberalism (Hardcover) and Goodbye, Good Men: How Liberals Brought Corruption Into the Catholic Church (Hardcover).

I'm not uninformed on the subject, or as you put it "Likely you have no idea what I am talking about here but that is OK with me, because you had no idea what you were talking about in your ignorant post". We'll have to disagree on that.

If anything, I'm over-informed. I just checked my FA--OTS hard drive folder and it's got 70MB of research information on this subject.

Another point of disagreement is "numbers are completely exaggerated". I admit, I didn't look up specific numbers before I posted, and am not going to take the time right now, but the numbers are large, not completely exaggerated, and there's no denying the damage.

The Catholic Church is certainly a story that the media chose as a scapegoat to divert attention away from the homosexual agenda, but there's also no doubt that the Church was guilty of not protecting their flock.

I could tell of blood relatives with mental illness we strongly suspect was due to abuse within the Church, but they're dead now, so we'll never really know. I could tell you of first person accounts I've heard of Church related abuse, but those are just one person's word against another.

All told, I stand by my original comment, the particular incident mentioned is too little too late, the damage is done. Not that it isn't a sign of reform...

Rosanne Strott will be showing up stag to the senior prom at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts Friday night.
That's because the Catholic Diocese of Fall River is closing the doors to her date, who happens to be another woman.

The bisexual 18-year-old says she's not trying to make a political statement. She just wanted to invite a close friend to the prom.

She says she's being unfairly discriminated against.

But the parochial school district says the same-sex ban is needed to keep the prom traditional and prevent gay sexual activity.

Strott plans to show up alone in her orange and yellow dress and crystal necklace.

Many students at the school support her. They say they wish she could bring her date on her arm, no matter her gender.

I am afraid you are right. The power elite are determined to impose their will on the Church. I hoped the archbishop is up to standing up to them boldly.

New England Cable News has been having coniptions.

Even 30 years ago, in the heyday of Flower Power, something like this would have been the subject of jokes, not serious discussion. Yes, a society can go down the tubes.

Remember when Sex Education discouraged promiscuity?

Actually, no. And I'm in my mid-40s.

In two or three American diocese. I only remember two or three bishops being accused of shuffling molesters around. And there are over 1 billion Catholics living in every part of the world.

Keep things in perspective, and remember that Jesus told us that the weeds would grow up among the wheat.

I think this article is REALLY falling flat on the reporting.

Presently if a anyone is going stag (male or female) then their picture is taken alone. Most proms have a formal picture taker when you enter.

The only thing stated is “not engaging in recreational sex” which is good for MINORS not to be doing. I wonder how much this reporter stealthed out.

It may be from AP, but Fox is carrying it. I’ll say it again. Fox is pro-homosexual. No doubt about it. Hannity may not be, but he’s the only one.
