I dont really care if Voight had an epiphany at all or when he had it... it sounds like his head is squarely on his shoulders and functioning fine.
Honestly, I don't either. Many actors view life through the prism of their acting roles and they don't really live in reality. I was just curious if 9/11 and other real-life events formed his opinion or if he formed it on the set of the movie.

If it was 9/11 that changed his mind, how much more of a tragedy that something like that had to happen first. If he felt that way all along, then that’s great.
