Its alarming .... I could see them going after illegal guns but not just because someone forgot to update their info. They ought to be spending more time fighting crime IMO.

While there is no paper on any of my several guns I'm sure the government could take them from me if they wanted to. But they can't do anything to keep me from getting more. They could ban them across the board throughout the country and I could get any gun I wanted and that will always be so.
What the gun grabbers fail to realize is that folks like me (law abiding gun owners) don't precisely think of guns as a means to kill but as a means of self-defense. If I wanted to kill someone I wouldn't need, or necessarily prefer, a gun.
