That's the trouble with feeling sorry for folks in militias like this ... they're often covers for thieves and dope growers.

Spot on!

I will support your right to make all the anti-government pronouncements you want. However, once you start making grenades and home-made firearms while giving yourself the title of "Colonel" or whatever, you have become my enemy.

I don't mind the titles, so much. I make my wife and kids call me "General" around the house, and when we go on trips they have to call me "Supreme Allied Commander of Yonder Expeditionary Forces."

And what's home-made firearms between friends?

It's the stealing that I have a problem with. I can't abide a thief.

Dope growing not to the same extent, but it is against the law.

But forming a militia to cover and/or support illegal activities is a problem.

Grenades are not "arms"? Someone tell the Army and Marines.

Why should making your own firearms, just as many make their own ammunition, be a crime? How can there even be such a crime under a Constitution which states "... the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"?
